Why massage therapy?

Remedial massage is the most effective way of restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system and releasing muscle tension.

Regular massage can aid in the recovery after physical exertion and also relieves pain of the nervous system.

Having regular massage also reduces physical fatigue and helps improve the function and healing of soft tissue including scar tissue.

Sports massage can help a sports-person of any level to prevent injury, recover from events faster and perform better during training and competition.

Muscle Management is located at Shelly Beach, South Head, Helensville and 718 Dominion Rd, Auckland.

The clinic is run by Leah Hide who has been helping people take care of their physical well being since 2005.

At Muscle Management my goal is to help you to achieve optimum health by balancing the nervous system with the muscular system through Remedial Massage Therapy. I use a proactive approach to health and well-being.

Remedial Massage is conducted in a very professional environment, with detailed assessments of your physical concerns prior to any hands on treatment.

I welcome clients from all walks of life, of any age and with any activity level.

At all times you are treated with privacy and respect. You can be safe in the knowledge that you are in capable hands.

Health update

the latest update on covid19/corona virus

how i protect you

15 March 2020

The information we are receiving on Corona Virus is that it is spread by contact / touching your eyes, nose, mouth / sneezing and coughing.

Because massage is a touch industry I am taking hygiene very seriously (as I have always done) to ensure when you come for your massage your risk of infection remains low.

  • I santitise the massage table after every client.  I wipe the face cradle and areas where your face comes in contact with, with a Dettol wipe.  I also change the blankets that you lie on after every client and dispose of any paper towels we have used.
  • Door handles are wiped down several times a day, as is my phone and computer.
  • As a massage therapist I wash my hands more than the normal person, however I too am being vigilant with my personal hygiene and washing a little more the my usual.
  • I am taking care of my own health - not exposing myself to environments where I am more likely to come in contact with viruses.
